Overview

Time Management is about being productive and controlling your workload. This course will provide tools and techniques to help you make better use of your time and regain control over your workload.

Delegates will have the opportunity to take part in practical exercises aimed at testing a number of different techniques and building on current skills

This is an interactive, hands on course with a high level of candidate participation and involvement. 

Who Should Attend

There are no pre-requisities for this course.  Delegates attending this course should be busy people who want to be able to manage their time as effectively as possible.

·       An insight into the relative nature of time and how ‘fixed’ ideas about time create problems in time management

·       Knowledge of where your time management is going in the right direction and where it’s rubbing against the grain

·       An understanding of your time management style and how to get the best from your own style and approach. 

·       An insight into how your personality impacts on your perception of the amount of time we believe we have.

·       Explore how our emotional state affects the way we manage time. 

·       How your personal energy management governs your ability to time management effectively

·       Understand the relationship between pressure and stress and the perils of too little and too much stress 

·       How to focus and manage distractions effectively

·       How to overcome time thieves and their attempts to stall our productivity.

·       How to differentiate between the urgent and the important.

·       How to schedule, set goals and objectives for ourselves effectively

·       How and when to say no

·       How to manage others – the boss, colleagues, customers and others that are demanding of our time and energy.

·       How to manage emails, phone calls, meetings, social media and the communications environment
